Built by a Teacher
Hello! I’m Benedict Owusu, the creator of this platform. First and foremost, I am a teacher. Like many of you, I’ve spent countless hours in the classroom, dedicated to my students' growth and success. However, I also know the weight of the "hidden" work, the endless manual calculations, the repetitive data entry, and the stress that comes with report season.
But here's what most people don't see: I didn’t build this project just as a developer, but as an educator solving the very problems I faced every day. I was tired of seeing brilliant teachers burnt out by administrative tasks that could and should be automated.
That's when I built sirbus. Crucially, this is not for administrative staff, it is for us, the teachers. We are starting with report cards to solve that immediate season of stress, but our mission is much bigger. I am committed to continuing to add more features to make the life of a teacher easier.
Today, sirbus is here to give us back our most precious resource: time. Time to teach, time to mentor, and time to inspire. This platform is built for us. My goal is to keep evolving it to solve the real problems we face in schools today. But I can't do that without your voice.
